Q: If I decide to unenroll half way through the month, do I get a partial refund?

A: Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for tuition. If you plan to unenroll, we strongly encourage you to do so before the start of a new month.

Q: When do I have to pay?

A: Tuition is posted on the 1st of each month, and is due by the 10th. A late fee will be incurred on the 10th of the month if tuition is not paid. If you join us partway through the month, please be prepared to pay your prorated tuition on the day of your child’s first lesson.

Q: Are you a vendor of the StepUp scholarship?

A: We are not an official vendor of the StepUp scholarship. However, many of our families are reimbursed by StepUp by submitting our receipts!

Q: Do you allow make-up lessons?

A: Yes! If you miss a class you can make up your missed lesson(s) at your convenience, within 60 days of the missed class.

Q: Do you have an end of the year recital?

A: We do have an end of the season showcase, which we call our Annual Gala. Participation is not mandatory but encouraged.

Q: Do you offer trial lessons?

A: Yes, we offer trial lessons. Your child is welcome to take a trial lesson before signing up to see if they would enjoy the class as well as to assess their level. To schedule a trial lesson, contact us at ally@selahacademy.com.

Q: Can I pause my child’s enrollment?

A: You may unenroll at any time, but we cannot offer tuition pausing. Please note that unenrolling will forfeit your child’s seat in the class, and that you will be charged for registration upon re-enrolling. You will not receive a refund for the classes not attended, so we strongly recommend waiting until the end of the month to unenroll.

Q: What are the hair and uniform requirements?

Q: There are so many types of shoes, what should I get?

A: We know shoe purchasing can become confusing, we’ve listed some options here.


Q: What days do you offer what classes?

A: We offer classes Monday-Friday. We are at our West Davie location Monday through Wednesday, and our East Davie location on Thursday. Take a look at our schedule here.

Q: Can parents observe class?

A: Every year, we hold a parent observation week where parents are invited to join us for class! Please keep an eye out for more information in your inbox regarding exact dates.

Q: When are your holiday breaks?

A: Holiday Breaks for 2024-2025

  • November 25-29 - Thanksgiving Break

  • December 23 - January 3 - Winter Break

  • March 24-28 - Spring Break
